A Foundation Built
on Purpose

The Charles “CJ” Jones and Linda M. Jones Foundation, Inc. is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

We support, promote, and provide financial assistance to qualified charitable and educational organizations that share our commitment to community and learning.

As a nonstock corporation, every resource we steward is directed toward our mission, not private gain.

Named in honor of Charles “CJ” Jones and Linda M. Jones, this Foundation carries forward a legacy of generosity, education, and community. It was established to ensure their commitment to learning and service endures for generations.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, contributions are tax-deductible, and all operations are guided by a board of directors committed to transparency and lasting impact.

Grantmaking Policy

How We
Award Grants

Our grantmaking policy establishes clear, fair guidelines for the review, approval, and monitoring of all grants, ensuring every award furthers our charitable and educational mission in compliance with federal and Connecticut law.

  • Organizations must be recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

  • Recipients must not be classified as private foundations under Section 509(a), unless the grant meets applicable IRS requirements.

  • The Foundation does not make grants to individuals directly, except through Board-approved scholarship or award programs.

  • Priority is given to organizations with strong educational or charitable missions that align with the Foundation's core purposes.

  • All grants are reviewed and monitored by our Board of Directors to ensure proper stewardship of Foundation resources.
